The 2011 season has started!

With the first practice of 2011 already completed, the 2011 season is underway. It's shaping up to be another exciting year of cricket here in Zuoz with our first matches coming up very soon. The unique event that is 'Cricket on Ice' will be taking place in St Moritz at the start of February. We will of course be looking to continue our success from last year!

Last season concluded with two remarkable victories for the Lyceum team in Italy. Winning the first game on the very last ball of the match, and then following up on Sunday with another last gasp victory with a '6' to win the game with only 3 balls to spare! The winning team is pictured below:

This year also brings a number of innovations to the cricket program here at the Lyceum, most notably the 'trophy competition'. Full details are provided elsewhere on this site, but basically we are looking to find the best overall cricketer at the Lyceum. This doesn't just mean performing on the pitch but also attending training and commitment to the team will be rewarded. There will be big prizes for the overall winners!
